§ 02 — Discipline

AI & ICT

Machines and code as material.

Generative craft, software, systems and infrastructure for creators — with the artist, not the algorithm, at the centre.

AI & ICT

Inside the House

The AI & ICT House is where painters, writers and technologists sit together to interrogate what machines are for. We build tools, run critiques and publish essays on what generative systems mean for African makers.

The same house builds the Centre's own stack: it runs Ship It Saturdays, maintains our publishing tools and mentors creative technologists across the cohort — from a first prototype to something that runs in production.

We are cautious optimists — interested in the instrument, sceptical of the hype, allergic to slop. We treat code the way we treat film and prose: as a medium with a grammar, worthy of its own studio.
